So basically the story is a short one. Shakemybooties was born from the mind of my boyfriend Kai who has given me the nickname of Boots and is always telling me to “shake it” haha. The nickname of Boots came by rather randomly and, alas, it stuck.
Me and him met at work and started dating while we were working at the same place. His desk was a few desks down from mine and he always bugged me (well to be honest, I bugged him just as much haha).One day I brought in a pair of slippers that MM had bought me at the Farmer’s Market: they were hand knitted, had thick leather soles on the bottom, and went up to almost my knees. Kai decides that they are boots, not slippers. And he started calling me boots, and then the name stuck. That is the story, nothing fancy, just my boyfriend being weird (and super cute) and lame (and adorable), and that was how shakemybooties was born.
